THE CHAEUM Premium No.2 is a monophasic cross-linked hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal filler with lidocaine, developed by Hugel of South Korea through its subsidiary Across. It is the second of four gels in the Premium line and is designed for injection into the mid dermis to correct moderate wrinkles and folds and to define the lips. Each box contains two 1.1 ml pre-filled syringes. For use by licensed healthcare professionals only.

Where No.2 Fits in the Premium Line

• The THE CHAEUM Premium line has four products, No.1 to No.4. They differ in cross-linking rate, concentration and recommended treatment area.
• No.2 is intended for moderate lines and lip definition. The manufacturer’s indication chart lists No.3 for the forehead and nose, and No.4 for the chin.

Administration

Precautions

• Common reactions include redness, swelling, tenderness, bruising and small lumps at the injection site. Swelling may be more noticeable after lip treatment.
• Accidental injection into a blood vessel can cause vascular occlusion, which may lead to skin necrosis or, rarely, vision loss. The glabella, the area around the eyes and the lips require particular care.
• Hyaluronic acid can be dissolved with hyaluronidase. Practitioners should keep hyaluronidase and an emergency protocol available.
• Seek medical attention immediately if there is severe pain, skin blanching or colour change, or any change in vision after treatment.
• Do not use if the packaging is damaged, the syringe is cracked or the product is past its expiry date.
• Single use only. One syringe, one patient. Keep out of reach of children.

Who Should Consult a Physician First

• People with known allergy to hyaluronic acid, lidocaine or amide-type local anaesthetics
• Pregnant or breastfeeding women
• People with infection, inflammation, cold sores or skin disease at the treatment area
• People with bleeding disorders or taking medicines that affect blood clotting
• People with autoimmune disease, a history of keloids or severe allergies
• People under 18 years of age
